What’s changing?

From 1 November 2026, qualifying clients can earn up to 65% back in rewards on fuel and Gautrain spend through Vitality Drive and Vitality Money, paid immediately in Discovery Miles. To qualify for and access fuel rewards, each primary driver must have their own Discovery Bank account and pay with a Discovery Bank virtual card. Physical and digital Vitality Drive cards will no longer be accepted from 1 January 2027.

A launch offer runs from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Qualifying primary drivers can earn 5,000 Discovery Miles on their first fuel purchase of R500 or more at bp or Shell using their Discovery Bank account, subject to the offer conditions.

PerfectDrive starts from 1 October 2026. It rewards every kilometre of an event-free trip, up to 100 Discovery Miles a day, with rewards paid through Discovery Bank after each qualifying trip. Clients need a Discovery Bank account and an Annual MultiPoint check completed at Tiger Wheel & Tyre within the previous 12 months.

Plan and programme changes include updates to Vitality Drive monthly fees, the Annual MultiPoint check fee and stolen-vehicle recovery device fees. Selected benefit limits increase. The Essential Plan motor basic excess and the Core Plan motor basic excess buy-down limit increase by R500. The Young Adult benefit is being phased out, Drive your Discount is ending, and standalone DQ-Track clients using devices that are not smartphone-enabled need to upgrade. The announced plan, benefit-limit and excess changes take effect on 1 December 2026.

A new Smart Driver Licence Testing Centre at 1 Discovery Place is scheduled from November 2026, offering priority appointments and cashless licence renewal. Shariah-compliant vehicle, home and personal belongings cover, through an independently approved Takaful structure, is announced for January 2027.
